About The Trip

Wat's going on friends, family, fans, supporters, and people that happened to accidentally stumble onto my page. Hope your day is going well.OK, lets jump right into it, my name is Devin, and some background info is that I'm 24 years old living in central Virginia.


With that being said I have recently been inspired and liberated to take a road trip around the United States of America. Now this road trip will serve two purposes one to interview people who are doing what they love inspite of what others say and how they accomplished this goal and two to show you just how little you need to survive and gain freedom . To be specific I plan on visiting a state a week for 47 weeks. The reason I stated 47 instead of 50 is because I live in Virgina and I have explored it extensively, also I can't drive to Hawaii, and to get to Alaska I would have to go through Canada. I plan on recording the whole thing, like a web series.

You might be wondering why? The reason is simply I believe that alot of people are dissatisfied and just existing insted of living when it comes to life. So I want to document what makes the difference between people that live and follow their dreams their passion vs people who settle for being average, mediocre and unfulfilled and why they chose their path.Then I also wanted to show people the pros of simplifying your life and becoming mobile as an alternative lifestyle for a year. Just imagine how much money you will save if you just downsized and lived in a van for a year. In all I want the end result to motivate others to become liberated and follow their dreams.

So now that everyone knows the idea, you’re curious to know how I am going to accomplish this goal. Simple first I will purchase a cheap work van and convert it into a mini camper with a bed and a few other modifications. Sleeping in my van only if I can’t find a place to stay.Side note sleeping in your vehicle for the night is illegal in most states, but there is always Wal-Mart and they want your business so they allow it.
Next I will see if I have relatives or friends in each state and ask to stay there for a few days that way I will have a readymade guide, food and company. Also since I'm not in a rush it will enhance the whole experience. Just me and my van on an adventure to enhance lives. There is an example of how it will be setup in the Setup Page
